The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faulkner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Trevino counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Faulkner wants to get back to his feet but Trevino passes into half guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Trevino moves nicely into side control.
Trevino advances nicely into full mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trevino is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Faulkner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Trevino holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Faulkner is in all sorts of trouble here.
Faulkner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Trevino quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Trevino but it's paid off an Faulkner is forced to tap! Nice work by Trevino.
