Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marek Siuta (ranked 2160 p4p, 2130 weight class) and Ignacio Nuevos (ranked 271 p4p, 265 weight class). Siuta comes to the cage accompanied by "On My Way to the Cage" Rollins Band. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Nuevos misses its intended target.
A little feinted left hand from Siuta on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nuevos connects with a body shot that sends Siuta's belly button to the back.

It looks like Ignacio Nuevos has been cut.
Nuevos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Siuta was well out of range. Poor timing from Nuevos.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nuevos throws the left hand but Siuta avoids the punch easily.

We've been told by Siuta's head coaches at Ironbound MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nuevos throws an overhand right that lands on Siuta's shoulder, as Siuta tries to avoid the shot.
It looked like Siuta wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Nuevos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nuevos moves to clinch but Siuta breaks away
and Siuta counters with a two punch combo.
Nuevos shoots in looking for a takedown but Siuta manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nuevos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marek Siuta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ignacio Nuevos.

Siuta throws a lazy right hand but Nuevos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Marek Siuta is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Siuta uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nuevos.

and Siuta counters with a nice right hand that sends Nuevos toppling to the canvas! Nuevos scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Siuta finish him?!

Nuevos is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Siuta is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Nuevos flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Nuevos is out cold! Siuta holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
