Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Conor Pena!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devin Carter!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab from Pena.
Pena digs a good hook to Carter's body.
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carter fails to land the takedown.
No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt.
A little feinted left hand from Pena on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A shot to the liver by Pena. Beautiful body shot.
Carter takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pena scores with a jab to the body.
Pena scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Pena lands a jab to Carter's midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pena connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Carter momentarily.
Carter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Pena counters with a left and a right that stings Carter.
Conor Pena has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devin Carter.
Carter ducks right into an uppercut from Pena.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pena fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pena throws a shot to the body.
Pena fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pena could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Pena lands a jab to the head.
Conor Pena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pena scores with a hook to the body. Carter takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pena paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Pena dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pena jabs Carter to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pena gets in close and tags Carter with a short punch that almost sends Carter to the mat! Oh Carter is in big trouble! He turns his back on Pena, trying to create some distance but Pena rushes him, striking wildly and Carter goes down! The referee tackles Pena into the cage to end the fight! Pena is one violent man!
