Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, JOe Mama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kona Kush! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kush throws a hook but Mama blocks it. Kush lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mama at a distance.
Mama takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mama ducks under a wild hook from Kush. Mama moves out of range of the strikes. Mama uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kush.
Mama looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Kush scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mama in his tracks. Kush misses with a double jab.
Mama lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Mama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mama really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kush scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kush not doing much here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kush drops an elbow to the side of Mama's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kush tries to pass to full mount but Mama defends it. Kush is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Kush with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kush seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mama is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
