Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deon Jeffries!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Craig May!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jeffries drives through and clinches with May against the cage.

Jeffries pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jeffries leaves May with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
May throws a head kick but Jeffries moves out of range.
A nice combination there by May.

It looks like Deon Jeffries has been cut.

Jeffries pushes May up against the cage in a clinch.
May can't get the takedown.

Jeffries breaks the clinch.
Jeffries defends well against a solid takedown attempt from May.
Deon Jeffries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig May.
May looks for a takedown but Jeffries sprawls well.
Jeffries misses with a body kick.

Jeffries clinches.

Jeffries breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jeffries shoots in and bounces May off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jeffries cracks May with a solid left hand.
Jeffries lands a couple of elbows.
Jeffries is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Jeffries decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on May, up you get!
May looks winded!

Jeffries drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jeffries landing some decent shots from guard.
Jeffries connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jeffries slips nicely into half guard.
Jeffries looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks May with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jeffries lands with a punch from half guard.
Jeffries lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
May taking some punishment here, with Jeffries in his half guard.
Jeffries working the head and body with strikes.
Jeffries winds up and cracks May with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jeffries looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jeffries lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked May! More strikes land and this one is all over! Jeffries jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Deon Jeffries!
As Deon Jeffries got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: The best is here, death is near.'.
