Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Julio Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Amaru Kawiwasulu!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Kawiwasulu misses.
Christ lands with a nice body punch.
Christ bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kawiwasulu's head backwards.
Kawiwasulu misses with a body shot
letting Christ counter with a right hand.
Christ looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kawiwasulu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Christ paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kawiwasulu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Christ lands a leg kick that knocks Kawiwasulu off balance momentarily.
Christ uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kawiwasulu.
Kawiwasulu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Christ is out of range.
Christ feinted there with a counter leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kawiwasulu wants to clinch but Christ slips to the side
and Christ counters with a left to the body.
Christ scores with a jab to the body.
Kawiwasulu looks winded!
Christ lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Christ - that will leave a mark!
Christ scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kawiwasulu stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Christ.
Christ is pawing at Kawiwasulu, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Kawiwasulu's nose. Kawiwasulu is badly hurt! Christ pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Kawiwasulu tries desperately to hold on but Christ is relentless in his assault! As Kawiwasulu receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Christ away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julio Christ!
An out of breath Julio Christ thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
