Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Khalid Magomedov (ranked 1050 p4p, 2367 weight class) and Johnny Bronco (ranked 144 p4p, 268 weight class). Magomedov comes to the cage accompanied by SABINA feat. Timaro - Dagestan. Bronco has chosen The Horses - Daryl Braithwaite as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Khalid Magomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 21 - 3, fighting out of New York, Johnny Bronco!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronco takes a jab right on the kisser.
Magomedov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Bronco is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Magomedov's half guard.
Bronco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Magomedov keeps working.
Magomedov regains full guard. Nicely done.
Magomedov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bronco trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bronco controls from within his opponent's guard.
Magomedov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bronco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Magomedov is pulling down on Bronco's head to control his posture.
Bronco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bronco lands a couple of elbows.
Magomedov has his hands on Bronco's head, controlling the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Magomedov controls Bronco momentarily but Bronco frees himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Magomedov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bronco is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Magomedov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Magomedov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Magomedov throws a strike but Bronco rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Magomedov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bronco lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Magomedov wants to sweep but no luck.
Bronco wants to control from the top but Magomedov keeps moving.
Magomedov has Bronco pulled in close to control his posture.
Magomedov controls Bronco momentarily but Bronco frees himself.

Magomedov has his foot on Bronco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bronco works his way back into a safe position though.
Bronco has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Magomedov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bronco is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Magomedov pulls down on the head and he's put Bronco to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Khalid Magomedov!
