Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Maciej Piotr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Carswell!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piotr misses with a left hand
and Carswell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carswell misses with the combination.
Carswell moves away from the strike by Piotr.
Piotr throws a left and a right that both miss
and Carswell counters with a straight right hand.
Piotr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Piotr lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Piotr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carswell moves away.
Carswell is looking for the big counter here.
Piotr throws a right hand that misses
and Carswell counters with a three punch combo that has Piotr backing up. Piotr nods at Carswell to acknowledge the strikes.
Carswell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Piotr looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carswell just content to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Piotr is trying to control Carswell's posture but Carswell avoids it.
Carswell is looking to take a break and control but Piotr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Piotr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Piotr tries to get out of the position.
Piotr keeps Carswell under control for a moment.
Carswell advances nicely into full mount.
Carswell avoids the attempt from Piotr to control.
Carswell looking to control and managing it successfully.
Carswell throws some wild stikes that Piotr manages to avoid easily.
Carswell controlling the pace for now.

Carswell is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Carswell extends the arm and Piotr is forced to tap!
