Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23997 p4p, 23949 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wala Sapi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 52 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 46 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Sapi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mibangon's half guard.
Mibangon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sapi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mibangon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mibangon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Mibangon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mibangon showed some decent athleticism there.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sapi holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Sapi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sapi showed some decent athleticism there.

Wala Sapi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mibangon dives in and grabs Sapi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sapi pushes down on Mibangon's head and hops out.
Sapi replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Mibangon blocks it well.

Mibangon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sapi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mibangon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Sapi shoots in for a double leg but Mibangon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mibangon jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Mibangon dives in and scores a takedown into Sapi's guard.
Sapi pulls Mibangon in close to prevent any damage.
Mibangon is stalling in the full guard.

Mibangon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sapi can do to turn this around?

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sapi looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Sapi gets a double leg takedown into Mibangon's guard.
Sapi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Minatay Mibangon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sapi working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Mibangon is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Sapi wants to control but Mibangon is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sapi is defended easily by Mibangon.
Mibangon is looking to counter with head kicks.
Mibangon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sapi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mibangon somewhat.

Mibangon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sapi.
Mibangon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Sapi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mibangon was covering up waiting for the punch and Sapi finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Mibangon is striking from the bottom but Sapi uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Mibangon keeps control of the position for the meantime.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wala Sapi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sapi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
