Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virgil Earp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Liddell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to George Straits- The Fireman. Virgil Earp is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Liddell!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgil Earp!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earp fails in his attempt to clinch.
Liddell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Earp.
Liddell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Earp.
Earp throws a nice looking combination but Liddell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Liddell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Earp.
Earp is looking to clinch but Liddell is avoiding it.
No joy there for Earp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Earp throws a sloppy head kick and Liddell moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Earp wants to clinch.
Liddell swings away with a body shot that misses
and Earp counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Earp moves out of range of the leg kick from Liddell.
Liddell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Earp takes a swing at Liddell's ribcage but misses.
A head kick by Liddell misses
and Earp counters with a good low kick that Liddell was not able to check.
Liddell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Earp sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Earp blocks a head kick by Liddell.
Liddell scores with a jab to the body.
Earp moves out of range as Liddell strikes.
Liddell misses with a leg kick
and Earp counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Liddell thinking.
Earp cracks Liddell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Liddell misses with a hook.
Earp looks to land a left hand but Liddell moved out of range nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Earp throws a sloppy body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Earp fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Liddell is breathing heavily.
Liddell dodges the punch combination from Earp.
Earp slips a jab from Liddell.
Liddell takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Earp lands with a nice body punch.
Liddell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Earp is looking to clinch but Liddell is avoiding it.
Earp throws a series of punches but Liddell moves out of range.
Earp fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Earp throws a quick inside leg kick.
Earp scores with a jab. Liddell acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Liddell takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Liddell steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Earp. That one must have hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

letting Earp counter with a right hand.
Earp misses with a series of wild punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Earp fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Liddell on the side of the head.
Liddell misses with a hook.
Liddell keeps the fight on the outside.
Earp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Earp throws a combination that misses
and Liddell makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Earp.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Earp steps into range and cracks Liddell with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Liddell flops backwards and Earp dives into his guard looking to finish!
Liddell is rocked!
Earp passes Liddell's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Virgil Earp dominated that round.
That's time! Liddell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Earp.
Earp doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.
Earp throws a body kick that misses.
Liddell throws a lazy body kick
and Earp counters with an outside leg kick.
Liddell misses the shot to the body.
Earp misses with a head kick.
Liddell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nice body punch from Earp.
Liddell throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Earp rushes Liddell with punches - Liddell moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Liddell goes down! Earp follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Virgil Earp!
Virgil Earp is the new light heavyweight champion!
