Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jens Ryden (ranked 3440 p4p, 24387 weight class) and Zurab Abkhazi (ranked 362 p4p, 501 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Abkhazi's choice of entrance music: Mindfucker - Sheck Wes. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jens Ryden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zurab Abkhazi! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryden falls off balance throwing a combination
and Abkhazi counters with a nice body shot. Ryden throws a hook but Abkhazi blocks it. Ryden misses with a body shot.
Abkhazi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abkhazi drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ryden needs to keep his hands up - Abkhazi had a free shot at his head there. Abkhazi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Abkhazi there as he acknowledges the shot. Abkhazi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Abkhazi misses with a lunging right hand
and Ryden counters with a left and a right that stings Abkhazi. Ryden just misses with a punch to the body.
A little jabbing left from Abkhazi on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ryden slips a straight right by Abkhazi. Ryden tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Abkhazi manages to circle out of the way. Abkhazi swats away the attempt to clinch by Ryden. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ryden looks to score with a jab to the body but Abkhazi is just out of range. Ryden lands a jab to Abkhazi's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abkhazi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ryden throws out the jab. Abkhazi lunges at Ryden with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ryden's hand. Ryden cracks Abkhazi with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Abkhazi wants to slow Ryden down by chopping away at his legs. Ryden rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Abkhazi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ryden throws a series of strikes that have Abkhazi backpedaling.
Abkhazi is rocked!
It looks like Zurab Abkhazi has been cut. Ryden seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ryden connects with a stiff jab that staggers Abkhazi - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jens Ryden!
