Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zahar Krulov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Snake! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Krulov to score an easy takedown into full guard. Krulov throwing strikes but missing. Snake is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krulov is aware though and is defending well. Krulov trying to control the position from guard on top but Snake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Krulov stands up over Snake, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Snake had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Krulov defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Krulov doesn't defend quickly enough and Snake has managed to lock this one up! Can Krulov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Snake on a fantastic submission victory.
