Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Janne Virtanen (ranked 2148 p4p, 2008 weight class) and Kaito Tanaka (ranked 259 p4p, 245 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Virtanen.
It looks like Kaito Tanaka has been cut.
Virtanen misses with a hook. Tanaka ducked under it nicely.
Virtanen looks to throw the jab but Tanaka is out of range.
Tanaka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Virtanen counters with a nice right hand that sends Tanaka toppling to the canvas! Tanaka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Virtanen finish him?!
Virtanen on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Virtanen looks to land a right hand but Tanaka moved out of range.
Tanaka throws a hook to the side of Virtanen's head but Virtanen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A counter left hand to the body from Virtanen misses its target.
Tanaka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Virtanen.
Tanaka lands a right hook to the body.
Tanaka misses with a head kick.
Virtanen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tanaka.
Virtanen tries to move into range but Tanaka moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Virtanen throws a body punch but Tanaka moves out of range.
Tanaka uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Virtanen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tanaka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Virtanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Janne Virtanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tanaka missing with a left hand there. Virtanen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Virtanen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A jab lands there for Tanaka.
Virtanen misses with a left hand
and Virtanen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Virtanen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tanaka drops Virtanen with a big left hand! Virtanen is injured, injured bad! Tanaka jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
