Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stank Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Springsteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Springsteen's choice of entrance music: Badlands. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stank Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Springsteen!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Springsteen gets caught flat footed, as Williams shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Springsteen keeps moving.
Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Springsteen keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.

Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Springsteen working for a triangle but Williams defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Springsteen is looking to sweep but instead, Williams has passed into half guard.
Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but Springsteen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Springsteen wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.

Williams not doing much here.
Williams tries to stand but can't do so whilst Springsteen controls his leg.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Williams lands a nice short elbow.

Springsteen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Williams works his way into full mount!
Williams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Springsteen tries to hold on but Williams postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Springsteen throwing hammer fists to the chest of Williams. What's that going to do exactly?
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Springsteen tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Springsteen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Williams content to control rather than advance.
Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Springsteen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Williams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Stank Williams just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Williams feints and as Springsteen raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Williams wants to control from the top but Springsteen keeps moving.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Springsteen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Williams passes into half guard.
Springsteen tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control.
Springsteen wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
Williams trying to control from half guard but Springsteen is working away.
Springsteen wants to get back to his feet.
Springsteen trying to control but Williams postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Williams lands a nice hook to Springsteen's body. Springsteen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Springsteen as he avoids it easily.
Williams feints and then cracks Springsteen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Springsteen down.

Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Williams is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Williams has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Williams is trying to control. Springsteen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Springsteen is trying to maintain the position but Williams is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stank Williams dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Williams tries to bum rush Springsteen with a series of wild strikes but Springsteen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Springsteen misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Springsteen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williams to score with a decent uppercut.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A left and a right from Williams both land. Nice combination.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Springsteen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams shoots in but no luck this time.

Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Springsteen wants to control but Williams postures up.
Springsteen is looking for a sweep.

Williams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Springsteen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Springsteen tries to improve position but can't.
Springsteen throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Springsteen regains half guard.
Williams trying to control from half guard but Springsteen is working away.
Springsteen tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Springsteen misses with a two punch combination.
Springsteen shoots in for a double leg but Williams sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Williams is looking to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Williams.
Williams wants to control but Springsteen is keeping him busy.
Springsteen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Williams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Springsteen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
Springsteen is staying active underneath Williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Springsteen is trying to get back to full guard.
Springsteen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Williams working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Springsteen is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Williams pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Williams throws a right and a left that both miss.

Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Williams lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Springsteen tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away.

Springsteen is squirming around, avoiding Williams's attempts to control the action.
Williams prevents Springsteen from getting the reversal.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Williams cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Williams wants to control the action but instead Springsteen gets a body lock and reverses into Williams's guard! Nice work!

Williams is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Springsteen postures up.
Williams wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Stank Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Williams has his feet on Springsteen's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Springsteen which made him look bad.

Williams shoots for a takedown but Springsteen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williams showed some decent athleticism there.
Williams looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Williams wants to take a breather but Springsteen is having none of it.

Stank Williams showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
