Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paddy O Taybel (ranked 4001 p4p, 24011 weight class) and Yawa Kiang (ranked 171 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paddy O Taybel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 62 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from O Taybel enables Kiang to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. O Taybel manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kiang won't allow O Taybel to sweep him here.
O Taybel keeping moving, preventing Kiang from controlling successfully.
Kiang tries to free his leg and advance position but O Taybel is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Taybel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
O Taybel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kiang manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kiang has a closed guard, preventing O Taybel from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Kiang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
O Taybel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
O Taybel thuds a left hand into Kiang's body.
Kiang takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
O Taybel lands a lovely overhand right.
Kiang is rocked!
Kiang doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kiang is still on wobbly legs! Can O Taybel finish him?
Paddy O Taybel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kiang looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
O Taybel is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Kiang flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kiang is out cold! O Taybel holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Paddy O Taybel!
