Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladmir Volchenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Samsonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsonov fails to land with a series of punches.

Volchenkov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Samsonov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Samsonov throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Volchenkov in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Volchenkov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Volchenkov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Samsonov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Samsonov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Samsonov is looking for a sweep. Volchenkov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Volchenkov trying to mount his opponent but Samsonov defends it.

Samsonov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Volchenkov lands a couple of digs.
Volchenkov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Samsonov wants to sweep but no luck.
Samsonov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Volchenkov puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Volchenkov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Samsonov is looking to control Volchenkov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Samsonov avoid being mounted?
Samsonov is pressing down on Volchenkov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Samsonov is on top in guard.

Samsonov looking to sit in guard and control but Volchenkov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Volchenkov wants to control from the top but Samsonov keeps moving.
Volchenkov's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Volchenkov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Samsonov for as long as he can get away with.

Samsonov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Volchenkov's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Samsonov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Volchenkov is keeping the position for now.
Volchenkov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Volchenkov is controlling Samsonov's posture.
Volchenkov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Samsonov stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Volchenkov throws up his legs and catches Samsonov in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Samsonov tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Volchenkov! That came out of nowhere!
