Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Reynolds (ranked 2142 p4p, 2363 weight class) and Tug Violet (ranked 248 p4p, 270 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Violet gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Reynolds lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Violet closes the distance and pushes Reynolds back into the cage.
Reynolds goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Reynolds doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Reynolds tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The referee calls for Violet to work.

and Reynolds counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Reynolds bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Violet's head backwards.

Reynolds drops Violet with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Violet looks back up at him and smiles so Reynolds waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
