Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean Claude (ranked 1101 p4p, 1695 weight class) and Ispa Mferi (ranked 150 p4p, 228 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ispa Mferi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claude takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Claude has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mferi finds it's way round the side to connect with Claude's head.
Claude shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mferi! But no joy.
Mferi displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

It looks like Jean Claude has been cut.
Claude shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mferi sprawls well. Mferi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Claude gets slowly back to his feet.
Claude tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mferi swivels and escapes.
Mferi looks like he wants to counter punch here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Claude. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mferi cracks Claude with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mferi has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Claude to stand back up!

Claude is rocked!

Mferi measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Claude! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
