Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arjun Bhate (ranked 3663 p4p, 2683 weight class) and Ivarsson Trippin (ranked 279 p4p, 214 weight class). Bhate's entrance music is Coming Back To You. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arjun Bhate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ivarsson Trippin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bhate checks a leg kick.
Trippin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bhate counters with a left to the body.
Trippin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bhate on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

A decent looking cross lands there for Trippin.
Bhate sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trippin lands a nice looking body shot.
We've been hearing reports that Bhate has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

A slapping leg kick lands for Trippin.

Bhate on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Trippin. Trippin obviously looking to wear him down.
Bhate takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Trippin looks to land a right hand but Bhate moved out of range.
It looked like Bhate wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ivarsson Trippin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bhate is rocked!
It looks like Arjun Bhate has been cut.
Trippin buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A solid body kick from Trippin.
Trippin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bhate.
Trippin misses with a right hand
and Trippin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trippin lands a big right hand that sends Bhate crashing to the mat! Trippin stays standing though and waves Bhate back to his feet!
Oh Bhate is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bhate stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Trippin.
Trippin lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Bhate up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Trippin from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Bhate's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivarsson Trippin!
