Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David McDonald (ranked 3631 p4p, 1703 weight class) and Hunter Hendricks (ranked 385 p4p, 213 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by Hell's Coming With Me. Hendricks has chosen Cowboy - Kid Rock as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Hendricks.
A combination from McDonald does no damage.
McDonald throws a looping overhand right but Hendricks ducks down to avoid it.

McDonald tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McDonald takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
McDonald takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Hendricks counters with a nice uppercut.
Hendricks tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McDonald was well out of range. Poor timing from Hendricks.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McDonald lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hendricks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hendricks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

McDonald throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McDonald drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McDonald cracks Hendricks with a big right hand but Hendricks just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hendricks is not content to let McDonald control the position.
McDonald tries to advance to mount but can't.

Hendricks is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McDonald off and has taken his back!

McDonald is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hendricks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hendricks's back!

Hendricks is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get McDonald off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
McDonald thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Hendricks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McDonald postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hendricks looks a forlorn figure.
Hunter Hendricks is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
McDonald sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
