Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Riley Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Patrick!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Ramirez tries to sprawl out of it but Patrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ramirez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ramirez shoots in and gets a takedown into Patrick's guard.
Ramirez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Patrick uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patrick looks for a takedown but Ramirez sprawls well.

Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Ramirez is controlling the pace.

Ramirez is working for a kimura but Patrick is defending it quite comfortably.
Ramirez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Patrick is trying to maintain the position but Ramirez is very close to passing his half guard.

Patrick is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Ramirez is staying active.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ramirez throws a series of punches but Patrick avoids them all with ease.

Patrick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ramirez.
Ramirez throws a sloppy head kick and Patrick moves out of range easily.
Patrick throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Patrick enables Ramirez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Patrick manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Patrick wants to sweep but no luck.

Patrick has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ramirez has passed into side control.

Patrick tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ramirez wants to control but Patrick is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez advances to full mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramirez wants to control the pace but Patrick is squirming around nicely.

Patrick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ramirez to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Patrick is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ramirez stays in close to Patrick's body and controls the position.

Patrick darts in looking for a takedown but Ramirez gets double underhooks and turns Patrick into the cage.
Ramirez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ramirez looks to clinch
and Patrick counters with a three punch combo that has Ramirez backing up. Ramirez nods at Patrick to acknowledge the strikes.
Patrick throws a head kick that Ramirez semi-blocks.

Ramirez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ramirez wants it to stay on the feet.
Ramirez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Patrick sprawls well. Patrick wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ramirez gets slowly back to his feet.
Patrick is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Ramirez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Patrick tries to escape but Ramirez is in control.

Patrick bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ramirez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ramirez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Patrick manages to get himself to full guard.

Riley Ramirez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Patrick tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Patrick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramirez cracks Patrick with a solid left hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Daniel Patrick will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Ramirez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Patrick was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramirez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patrick might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ramirez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ramirez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Patrick is just riding it out for now. Ramirez eventually gives up the hold.

Patrick wants to control but Ramirez is keeping busy.

Ramirez jumps guard.
Ramirez is pulling down on Patrick's head. It's preventing any offense from Patrick, at least for the moment.
Patrick wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Patrick's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Patrick moves in looking to clinch but Ramirez pushes him off.
Patrick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ramirez but Ramirez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Patrick avoids the head kick by Ramirez.

Ramirez feints and as Patrick raises his hands in defense, Ramirez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Riley Ramirez showed his dominance in that final round.
