Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Baron Welch (ranked 2972 p4p, 2507 weight class) and Brody Parks (ranked 210 p4p, 181 weight class). Welch kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Red Light. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Baron Welch!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brody Parks!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Welch.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Parks, as that shot connected.
Baron Welch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parks is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Welch had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Parks connects with a body shot that sends Welch's belly button to the back.
Parks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Welch's head backwards.

Welch looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

and Parks counters with a nice body shot.
Parks throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Welch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Parks counters with a nice uppercut.
Welch's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Welch scrambles back to his feet.

Parks rushes Welch and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Parks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Parks lands with an overhand left.
Parks cracks a nice hook into Welch's ribs.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Parks shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Welch eats them both and turns towards Parks to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Parks lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Welch falls backwards - clearly groggy! Parks dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
