Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abduwali Hassan (ranked 1115 p4p, 870 weight class) and Rob Roy (ranked 105 p4p, 80 weight class). Rob Roy struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Abduwali Hassan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 44 - 23 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rob Roy!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roy moves away from the strike by Hassan.
Hassan loads up on a big right hand but Roy slips the punch.
Roy tries a quick counter leg kick but Hassan is wise to it.
Hassan is looking to clinch but Roy is avoiding it.
Hassan throws a jab when Roy was well out of range.
Hassan connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Roy's hands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hassan. Roy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hassan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Roy.
Roy avoids the body shot from Hassan.
Roy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Roy slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jab, jab by Hassan - just one landing.
Hassan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Roy.

Hassan is rocked!
We've been informed that Roy has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Hassan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Roy counters with a good low kick that Hassan was not able to check.

Roy takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Hassan clobbers Roy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Oh Hassan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Roy drops his hands momentarily and Hassan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hassan throws a leg kick that is checked
and Roy counters with a huge right that knocks Hassan out cold! Roy is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
