Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Faarooq Rahim (ranked 2227 p4p, 2854 weight class) and Antonio Flores (ranked 257 p4p, 322 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Flores's choice of entrance music: A New Religion - Ministry. Antonio Flores has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Faarooq Rahim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Flores!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Flores lands with a right hand.
Rahim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flores pinned against the cage. Flores gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rahim closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Flores to the mat! Flores manages to get full guard.
Rahim is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rahim won't allow Flores to get back to his feet.
Flores is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flores can do anything to dispel that myth.

Flores has momentary wrist control but Rahim slips an elbow through the middle.

Flores working for a triangle but Rahim defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rahim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flores swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rahim definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Rahim lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Flores down.

Flores really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rahim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rahim cracks Flores with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Rahim immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Flores is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Rahim!
