Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conolly bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Willans tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Conolly presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Conolly tries to control but Willans wriggling away.
Willans working to try and regain half guard.
Conolly stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Willans shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Willans showed some decent athleticism there.
Willans drops an elbow to the side of Conolly's head.
Conolly looking for submissions off his back.
Conolly looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Willans throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

and Willans counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Conolly's guard now.

Conolly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Conolly looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Willans passes into side control.

Willans cracks Conolly with a big right hand but Conolly just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Willans lands a decent elbow from side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Willans scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Conolly is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Willans can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
