Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Hearse (ranked 3996 p4p, 4162 weight class) and Plugger Dukes (ranked 413 p4p, 426 weight class). Marvin Hearse has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marvin Hearse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Plugger Dukes!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes tries to bum rush Hearse with a series of wild strikes but Hearse uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed right hand from Hearse misses the target.
Dukes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dukes wants it to stay on the feet.
Hearse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dukes tries to avoid it but Hearse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dukes to the ground. Dukes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hearse looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dukes is fending him off so far but Hearse persists. Nope, Dukes circles away and we're back to standing.
Dukes tries to counter with a clinch but Hearse shakes him off and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marvin Hearse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dukes scores with a jab to the jaw.
Dukes misses with a hook. Hearse ducked under it nicely.
Dukes misses with an attempted mid kick.

Hearse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dukes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dukes lands with a straight right. Hearse didn't see that one coming.
Plugger Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hearse keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dukes's head.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dukes holds on and takes a little breather.
