Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Jacobson Ill (ranked 2851 p4p, 4868 weight class) and Zander Fisher (ranked 228 p4p, 326 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Jacobson Ill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zander Fisher! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobson Ill lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jacobson Ill throws a jab when Fisher was well out of range. Fisher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jacobson Ill.
Jacobson Ill throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jacobson Ill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jacobson Ill scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Fisher closes the distance but Jacobson Ill moves to the side and Fisher takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fisher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fisher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jacobson Ill lands a glancing blow to the side of Fisher's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jacobson Ill misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jacobson Ill has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jacobson Ill with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth. Fisher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobson Ill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
