Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kuki Hilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Stripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuki Hilli had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stripper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jack Stripper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stripper lands a nice shot that snaps Hilli's head back.
Hilli slips a jab and a cross from Stripper.
Stripper lands with a nice body punch.
Hilli blocks a head kick by Stripper.
Stripper misses with the combination.
Hilli tries for a takedown but Stripper sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stripper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stripper tries to land a front kick but Hilli steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hilli moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hilli changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stripper looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stripper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hilli wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stripper keeps working.

Stripper tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hilli looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Hilli avoids the attempt from Stripper to control.

Hilli looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hilli goes for an armbar but Stripper turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Stripper.
Stripper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hilli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stripper has managed to get both his arms back between Hilli's legs - danger averted.
Hilli wants to sweep here but Stripper controlling him for the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Stripper tries to move to mount but Hilli blocks the move with his legs.

A close second round but Jack Stripper will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Hilli's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Stripper thows a leg kick but Hilli checks it
and Hilli counters with a single leg into guard. Stripper didn't expect that.
Hilli drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stripper dives on top into guard.
Stripper seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hilli working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stripper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stripper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Stripper tries to stand but Hilli is controlling from the bottom.

Stripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hilli swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stripper tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hilli knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stripper is controlling the pace.
Hilli is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hilli has a hand on Stripper's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Stripper takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Hilli has given up his back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Stripper's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stripper has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hilli has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Hilli trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Hilli controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Stripper wants to control but Hilli is keeping busy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hilli turns into Stripper and is now in his guard.
Hilli has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hilli gets to his feet - Stripper follows without any prompting.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kuki Hilli.
I think Stripper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
