Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Mazijar (ranked 4265 p4p, 4124 weight class) and Brock Koli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazijar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Koli is staying active underneath Mazijar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mazijar throws a big counter combination but Koli scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Koli shoots for a double leg takedown but Mazijar sprawls well. He's pushed Koli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mazijar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koli's guard.

Koli wants to get back to his feet but Mazijar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Koli is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mazijar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Koli has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mazijar has managed to get both his arms back between Koli's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
