The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stockton connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stockton lands a two punch combo.

Vargas is rocked!

It looks like Walter Vargas has been cut.
Vargas slaps away a takedown attempt from Stockton, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stockton digs a good hook to Vargas's body.
Hector Stockton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vargas leaves Stockton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vargas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stockton throws a hook but Vargas blocks it.
Stockton lands a nice hook to Vargas's body. Vargas takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The crowd cheers as Stockton lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vargas doesn't seem phased though.
Vargas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stockton moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Oh Vargas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stockton scores with a hook to the body. Vargas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Stockton fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Vargas square on the jaw! Damn, Vargas is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
