Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peter Piper (ranked 4209 p4p, 4811 weight class) and Alfonso Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peter Piper could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alfonso Melendez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alfonso Melendez!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Melendez has his takedown stuffed
and Piper counters with a stiff right hand.
Melendez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Melendez in particular looking to stall.

Peter Piper opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
