Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruiser DeSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSilva tries to clinch up but Carpenter circles away and keeps his distance.
DeSilva fails in his attempt to clinch.

Carpenter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
DeSilva wants to improve his position but Carpenter is controlling well.
DeSilva is looking to control Carpenter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DeSilva avoid being mounted?

Carpenter decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Carpenter throws a series of punches but DeSilva moves out of range.

DeSilva is trying to break free.

DeSilva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Carpenter shoots in and bounces DeSilva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
