Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Mitia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Mitia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Mitia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mitia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Mitia moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.
Mitia has a takedown stuffed.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitia sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mitia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mitia tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mitia is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.

Thiago Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitri Mitia.
