Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ripp Colton (ranked 5057 p4p, 4020 weight class) and Bas Anderson (ranked 209 p4p, 473 weight class). Bas Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ripp Colton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Bas Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colton.

Bas Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Colton pushes him off.
Horrible takedown attempt by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by Colton, which made it look bad.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close round but I would say that Ripp Colton will probably get the nod.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Colton sprawls well. Colton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet.

Colton has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Colton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
