Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Branislav Popov (ranked 2753 p4p, 3071 weight class) and Jason Flores (ranked 313 p4p, 342 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Branislav Popov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Flores! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flores misses with a few strikes there.
Popov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Popov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Flores is trying to break the clinch but Popov has him pressed against the cage. Popov lands an elbow inside. Popov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Flores's defenses. Flores looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Popov lands an elbow just above Flores 's eye. Flores is stalling here.
Popov manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Branislav Popov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
