Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seregei Romanov (ranked 3840 p4p, 2896 weight class) and Ekon Ogunkoya (ranked 166 p4p, 137 weight class). Seregei Romanov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Seregei Romanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ekon Ogunkoya! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ogunkoya changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Romanov tries to avoid it but Ogunkoya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Romanov to the ground. Romanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Romanov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A countering left hand to the body from Ogunkoya misses. Ogunkoya shoots in looking for a takedown but Romanov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ogunkoya's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A combination from Romanov does no damage. Romanov with a lazy takedown attempt and Ogunkoya counters with a series of strikes. Romanov will be more careful next time no doubt. Ogunkoya fails with a takedown attempt. Seregei Romanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ekon Ogunkoya. Ogunkoya dives in and scores a takedown into Romanov's guard. Romanov controlling the position. Ogunkoya trying to move into half guard but instead Romanov has managed to sweep!
This has been an exciting period of action! Romanov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Romanov is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romanov trying to control but Ogunkoya is working from the bottom. Ogunkoya wants to get back to his feet but Romanov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ogunkoya wants to sweep but no luck. Ogunkoya can't keep his opponent in guard - Romanov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Romanov controlling the pace. Romanov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ogunkoya has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ogunkoya is in trouble now - Romanov has advanced to mount! Ogunkoya is trying to escape the mount but Romanov keeps good control and instead manages to take Ogunkoya's back.

Romanov controls the position. Ogunkoya looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Romanov controlling well, preventing Ogunkoya from escaping the position.

Romanov missing with strikes. Ogunkoya trying to get back to his feet but Romanov is in full control for now. Romanov gets his hands free as Ogunkoya looks to control. Romanov is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ogunkoya knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ogunkoya for a finish. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ogunkoya tries to escape the position.

Romanov moves into the clinch. Ogunkoya looking for a takedown. Ogunkoya has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Romanov is trying to keep an underhook but Ogunkoya manages to get the takedown into half guard. Romanov manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ogunkoya keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Ogunkoya can't get the takedown.
Romanov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ogunkoya avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Romanov gets control of Ogunkoya's arms and successfully pulls guard. Romanov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ogunkoya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Ogunkoya trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ogunkoya is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Romanov gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Romanov ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ogunkoya lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
A decent looking cross lands there for Romanov. Romanov misses with a series of wild punches.
Ogunkoya shoots in for a takedown but Romanov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Seregei Romanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ekon Ogunkoya. Romanov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ogunkoya shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Seregei Romanov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ogunkoya keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Romanov lands a nice looking body shot.
Ogunkoya keeps the fight on the outside. Romanov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ogunkoya as he jumps to the side. Ogunkoya tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Romanov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ogunkoya fails to land the takedown. Romanov throws a shot to the body.

Ogunkoya drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Romanov defends it well. Romanov misses with a hook
and Ogunkoya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ogunkoya. Romanov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ogunkoya avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ogunkoya drops down looking for an ankle pick but Romanov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Romanov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ogunkoya sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Romanov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ogunkoya gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Romanov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ogunkoya can do to turn this around? Romanov tries to throw a body punch but Ogunkoya avoids it by throwing Romanov back against the cage. Ogunkoya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

As Ogunkoya looks to move away, Romanov throws a big counter combo but Ogunkoya just gets out of the way. Romanov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ogunkoya forces Romanov back against the cage and clinches. Ogunkoya tries to pull guard but Romanov forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Romanov has Ogunkoya pressed against the cage, preventing Ogunkoya from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Ogunkoya drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ogunkoya tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
