Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Young (ranked 1227 p4p, 1264 weight class) and Maciej Galecki (ranked 112 p4p, 115 weight class). Malcolm Young has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Malcolm Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Maciej Galecki! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young misses the jab. Galecki throws an off balance right hand
and Young counters with a straight right hand. Galecki rushes Young and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Galecki doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Young's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Galecki tries to clinch up and Young counters with a nice uppercut. Galecki looks to land a left hand but Young moved out of range nicely. Galecki has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Nice takedown defense from Young. No joy for Galecki on that attempt. Young throwing a counter right hand but Galecki manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young throws out a loose jab but Galecki uses good head movement to avoid it. The fighters circling - Galecki throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Young swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Galecki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Young defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Galecki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Young counter with a right hand. Malcolm Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maciej Galecki. The fight stays on the outside here - Galecki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Galecki rushes Young and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Galecki taking a breather. Galecki slowing the pace effectively. Galecki pulls guard. Galecki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Young gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Young has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Galecki is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Galecki working for a triangle but Young defends it easily.
Galecki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Young won't allow Galecki to sweep him here. Galecki looking for a guillotine here but Young defends easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Galecki is looking for a triangle but Young pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Galecki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Young doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Galecki is tightening it up a little... Young has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Young reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Young taps out! Nice BJJ there by Galecki!
