Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richmond Belvedere (ranked 1490 p4p, 2536 weight class) and Anni Skystalker (ranked 167 p4p, 272 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Anni Skystalker enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richmond Belvedere!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Anni Skystalker!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belvedere blocks a low kick nicely.
Skystalker misses with an uppercut.
Belvedere misses with a hook. Skystalker ducked under it nicely.
Belvedere jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Skystalker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Skystalker has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Skystalker tries a head kick but it misses.
It looked like Belvedere wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Belvedere moves out of range as Skystalker throws a body kick.

And Skystalker tries to counter it with a takedown but Belvedere pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Belvedere looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Richmond Belvedere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belvedere tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Skystalker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Belvedere shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Belvedere showed some decent athleticism there.
Skystalker tries to roll over but Belvedere keeps him under control.
Skystalker is not content to let Belvedere control the position.
Skystalker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belvedere is working away from the top position though.

Belvedere is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Skystalker defends it well.
Belvedere is looking to stall here but Skystalker recovers full guard.
Belvedere missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Skystalker controls Belvedere momentarily but Belvedere frees himself.
Skystalker seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Skystalker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Skystalker tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Skystalker looking to score a takedown here. Belvedere is defending well but Skystalker drives through and ends up in Belvedere's guard.
Belvedere is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Skystalker has his hands clasped together but Belvedere extends and breaks Skystalker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Belvedere.

Richmond Belvedere opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
