Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dodong Janjan (ranked 1764 p4p, 1747 weight class) and Morello Hawthorne (ranked 134 p4p, 132 weight class). Janjan comes to the cage accompanied by Love Addict. Dodong Janjan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Morello Hawthorne!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorne has Janjan up against the cage in a clinch.
Janjan has clasped his hands together around Hawthorne's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Janjan looks up at the clock and then as Hawthorne takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Janjan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hawthorne is not content to let Janjan control the position.
Hawthorne felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Hawthorne tries to buck Janjan off but Janjan is having none of it.
Hawthorne on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Janjan throws a strike aimed at the side of Hawthorne's head but Hawthorne avoids it well.
Hawthorne is looking to regain half guard here but Janjan keeps moving and retains side control.
Janjan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hawthorne sneaks back into half guard.

Janjan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Janjan throws a big elbow that misses.
Janjan wants to control from the top but Hawthorne keeps moving.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Hawthorne tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hawthorne keeping moving, preventing Janjan from controlling successfully.
Hawthorne is looking to cinch up a triangle. Janjan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hawthorne's body to avoid the submission. Hawthorne has instead reached around Janjan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hawthorne arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
