Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balal Lama (ranked 2340 p4p, 637 weight class) and Kimbo Wahwah (ranked 301 p4p, 80 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Balal Lama has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Balal Lama seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kimbo Wahwah! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lama looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Wahwah misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lama pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Wahwah looks to throw the jab but Lama is out of range. Wahwah ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lama moves away. Lama doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wahwah counters with a nice body shot. Balal Lama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wahwah's half guard. Wahwah is not content to let Lama control the position. Lama will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lama sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wahwah defending well though. Wahwah is staying active underneath Lama, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wahwah keeping hold of Lama's head, controlling as best he can. Lama is looking for a kimura but Wahwah is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lama to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wahwah is refusing to be controlled, as Lama sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wahwah is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Lama prevents Wahwah from improving his position. Lama trying to control from Wahwah's half guard. Wahwah has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Lama wants to control from the top but Wahwah keeps moving. Lama not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wahwah has Lama pulled in close to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lama trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Lama is working hard here to advance position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nice jab there from Lama. Lama throws a head kick that misses. Wahwah steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lama. Lama shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wahwah's guard. Lama with a flurry of punches that miss. Wahwah keeping moving, preventing Lama from controlling successfully. Wahwah keeping full guard, as Lama tries to pass. Lama with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wahwah swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wahwah avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lama looking to pass the guard. Wahwah avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wahwah is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Lama wants to control from the top but Wahwah keeps moving. Wahwah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lama is one step ahead there.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Lama darts in looking for a takedown but Wahwah gets double underhooks and turns Lama into the cage. Lama is trying to push Wahwah away but Wahwah has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Wahwah prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Balal Lama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wahwah's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wahwah throws a nice looking combination but Lama bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lama. Wahwah chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lama shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lama showed some decent athleticism there. Lama seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lama missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Balal Lama dominated that round. That's time! Lama's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Lama misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wahwah.
Lama fails with a takedown attempt. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lama, as that shot connected.
Lama throws a sloppy head kick and Wahwah counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lama misses with a takedown and Wahwah counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Wahwah throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good shot there by Wahwah.
It looks like Balal Lama has been cut. Wahwah throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Wahwah ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Wahwah digs a good body shot into Lama's ribs. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lama on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wahwah fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jab from Wahwah. Kimbo Wahwah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wahwah feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lama sprawling to the canvas! Lama rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wahwah finish him?!
Lama is rocked! Lama is holding his hands too far apart here. Wahwah throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Lama is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kimbo Wahwah!
