Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Gurr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johel Yomero!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurr misses with a right hand
and Yomero counters with a single leg into guard. Gurr didn't expect that.
Yomero lands a couple of digs.
Yomero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Yomero is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gurr wants to control but Yomero passes easily into half guard.
Gurr is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yomero scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gurr is looking to get back to full guard here but Yomero has managed to pass to side control instead.
Yomero controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Yomero has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gurr is working to avoid the ground and pound but Yomero connects with a decent elbow.
It looks like Nick Gurr has been cut.
Yomero is chipping away with strikes.
Gurr is looking for a sweep.

Yomero is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Gurr is trying to escape and Yomero transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Gurr is forced to tap! Nice work there by Yomero! Very nice indeed!
