Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Montoya (ranked 4888 p4p, 5109 weight class) and Elian Ibarra (ranked 442 p4p, 451 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elian Ibarra! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ibarra. Montoya looks to score with a jab to the body but Ibarra is just out of range. Ibarra is trying hard to land a takedown here. Montoya sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Montoya appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Ibarra scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Montoya on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Montoya tries to get out of the position. You can see the frustration on Montoya's face as Ibarra controls the position. Montoya struggling a bit here. Ibarra is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montoya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montoya trying to remain calm as Ibarra controls from the top position. Ibarra works to advance to full mount. Montoya defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ibarra content just to control the position here. Ibarra with a couple of short strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ibarra controlling from the full mount. Ibarra landing strikes from the mount and Montoya is in trouble! Ibarra looking to control and managing it successfully. Ibarra landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ibarra with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ibarra controlling the position easily from mount. Ibarra avoids the attempt from Montoya to control. Ibarra thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Montoya tries to hold on but Ibarra postures up. BOOM! Ibarra connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Montoya reaches up to try and control the position but Ibarra seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Montoya rolls and tries to escape and now Ibarra has his back!
Ibarra is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Montoya knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Montoya for a finish. Ibarra avoiding Montoya 's attempts to control his hands. Ibarra keeps control of the position easily here as Montoya tries to buck him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya rolls, trying to escape but Ibarra keeps control of the position.

Montoya is trying to break free.
Ibarra controlling the position well here. Montoya rolled but Ibarra kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ibarra loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Montoya hold on?
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elian Ibarra dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ibarra lands a head kick. Montoya smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Montoya blocks a head kick by Ibarra.
Ibarra throws a head kick but Montoya moves out of range.
Ibarra shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ibarra has his takedown stuffed and Montoya counters with a lovely shot to the body. Montoya avoids the head kick by Ibarra.
A jab from Montoya finds it's way through Ibarra's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montoya tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ibarra was well out of range. Poor timing from Montoya. Ibarra tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Montoya manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ibarra has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Ibarra has a takedown stuffed.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ibarra gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Montoya counters with a right hand to the body. Felipe Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elian Ibarra. Montoya fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ibarra manages to avoid it. Ibarra shoots in but Montoya avoids the takedown attempt easily. Montoya drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Ibarra right on the button. Ibarra goes down! Montoya follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Montoya gets the win via TKO!
