Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anabolic Asteroid (ranked 190 p4p, 217 weight class) and Chris John (ranked 24 p4p, 27 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Asteroid might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For Heavy Metal we will die!. John has chosen Don't Stop Me Now as his entrance music. Anabolic Asteroid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anabolic Asteroid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris John!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John throws a big shot that misses.
Asteroid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Asteroid blocks a jab.
Asteroid takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Asteroid walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
John uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Asteroid.
John slips under a jab from Asteroid.
John dips to his left and cracks Asteroid with an uppercut!
Asteroid tries to close the distance and clinch but John swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice inside leg kick there by John. That's going to slow Asteroid down.

and Asteroid counters with a left to the body.
Asteroid dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on John. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

John swings wildly with an uppercut but Asteroid uses good head movement to avoid it.

John swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
John's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Asteroid connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! John scrambles back to his feet.
John swings for the body but Asteroid moves out of range.
As John tries to get set, Asteroid tries to push him back and clinch up but John manages to avoid the attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts John, as that shot connected.
John dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Asteroid. That did some damage!

Asteroid is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

John lands a big head kick that sends Asteroid tumbling to the mat! John takes a step backwards and waves Asteroid back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Oh Asteroid is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Asteroid throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent John stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

John's jab looks to have found its range, popping Asteroid under the eye.

and Asteroid counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
John scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Asteroid doesn't seem bothered though.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from John in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

A very excited looking Chris John rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
