Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Caelan Aengus (ranked 1520 p4p, 1304 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 166 p4p, 146 weight class). Howlett has chosen Indestructible as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Caelan Aengus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Howlett!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Howlett wants to clinch up but Aengus keeps it at a distance.
Howlett fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Aengus throws a hook but Howlett blocks it.
Aengus scores with a jab. Howlett acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Howlett doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Aengus counters with a straight right hand.

Aengus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Howlett, pushing him back against the cage.

James Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Howlett wants to control from the top but Aengus keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Aengus is trying to control the position but Howlett postures up.
Aengus is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Howlett is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Howlett isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aengus stacks Howlett on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aengus!

Well Aengus has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
