Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23971 p4p, 23927 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 64 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 34 - 61 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Kiang lands a front kick. Kiang has his takedown stuffed and Bitok counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bitok controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bitok is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kiang has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kiang fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bitok sprawls well initially but Kiang persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Kiang content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bitok is holding on to half guard well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok is looking to improve his position.
Kiang trying to control the pace. Kiang stalling away here and it's allowed Bitok to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kiang trying to control the position from guard on top but Bitok is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kiang controlling from the top position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang dives in and scores a takedown into Bitok's guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Bitok misses with a kick to the body.
Kiang fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bitok to the ground. Kiang is now in Bitok's guard. Kiang wants to control from the top but Bitok keeps moving. Bitok controlling Kiang's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kiang controlling the action here. Kiang seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bitok for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Bitok closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kiang did well to prevent Bitok getting side control. Kiang has one foot on Bitok's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Kiang is looking to control Bitok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kiang avoid being mounted? Kiang is trying is best to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kiang is trying to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Bitok looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kiang wants to stand and escape but Bitok is having none of it. Kiang looking for a sweep. Not yet Kiang, not yet. Yawa Kiang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is working hard here to advance position. Bitok postures up in Kiang's guard and throws a big left but Kiang blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Bitok won't allow Kiang to sweep him here. Kiang can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bitok controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bitok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And Kiang counters with a quick kick to the body but Bitok blocks it. Bitok fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kiang feinted with a counter takedown. Bitok looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kiang is fending him off so far but Bitok persists. Nope, Kiang circles away and we're back to standing. Kiang was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Yawa Kiang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kiang pinned against the cage. Kiang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kiang jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kiang.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bitok drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Bitok controlling from the top position. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Yawa Kiang is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kiang trying to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kiang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
