Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reece Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Grant Daws !
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Hemmingworth and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Robertson misses.
The crowd cheers as Robertson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Daws doesn't seem phased though.
Robertson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Robertson lands a left and a right that send Daws crashing to the mat, dazed. Robertson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Daws is rocked!
Robertson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Robertson misses with a body kick.
Daws is still on wobbly legs! Can Robertson finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Daws gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Daws tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Robertson is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Daws buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Daws !! Daws is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Robertson throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reece Robertson!
