Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryan Montana!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Frost!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Montana!
Montana is holding Frost down, trying to stall.
Montana wants to control but Frost postures up.
Montana is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Frost is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
My spies in Freaky Fight Club inform me that Frost has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Montana knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Montana gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Montana is looking for a sweep. Frost is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Montana looking for submissions off his back.
Montana tries to get to full guard but Frost has control of the leg.
Montana has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frost is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montana wants to improve his position but Frost is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Montana actively working from the bottom here.
Montana wants to control the action here but instead Frost manages to pass to full mount!
Montana tries to lock up and control but Frost gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Frost takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Montana is trying desperately to improve position.
Montana prevents Frost from taking his back.
Frost tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

It looks like Frost might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Montana is desperately trying to improve his position but Frost has a good base and remains in mount.
Frost content just to control the position here.
Montana wants to control but Frost is having none of it.
Frost prevents Montana from getting the reversal.
Montana is working hard here to advance position.
Frost controlling his opponent.
Montana tries to improve his position but Frost has taken his back! Frost has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Montana tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Frost pushes Montana away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
