Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Tanaka (ranked 1000 p4p, 1011 weight class) and Aleki Veainu (ranked 128 p4p, 129 weight class). Aleki Veainu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kaito Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aleki Veainu! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Tanaka throws the left hand but Veainu avoids the punch easily. A little jabbing left from Veainu on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tanaka misses with a straight left. Veainu throws a poor cross that misses
and Tanaka counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Veainu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Tanaka slips under a jab from Veainu. Tanaka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Tanaka misses with a straight left. It seemed like Veainu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kaito Tanaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tanaka swings for the body but Veainu moves out of range.
Veainu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanaka scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Tanaka scores with a nice head shot. A left lands for Veainu.
It looks like Kaito Tanaka has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tanaka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Veainu has time to react.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Veainu walks into a jab. Tanaka feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Veainu sprawling to the canvas! Veainu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tanaka finish him?!
Veainu is rocked! Veainu fails in his attempt to clinch. Tanaka cracks Veainu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tanaka misses with a hook to the body
and Veainu counters with a lovely straight right hand! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tanaka misses with a body shot
and Tanaka takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tanaka throws a hook but Veainu avoids it easily. Tanaka throws a jab when Veainu was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanaka misses with an uppercut
and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Tanaka toppling to the canvas! Tanaka scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?! Veainu closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Tanaka out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aleki Veainu!
