Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Joe (ranked 5299 p4p, 3221 weight class) and Karl Stienz (ranked 286 p4p, 212 weight class). Karl Stienz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Joe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Karl Stienz! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Stienz pulls Joe in close to prevent any damage. Stienz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Joe's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stienz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Joe's guard. Joe punching from the bottom.
Joe is looking for a sweep. Stienz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Joe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Joe punching from the bottom.
Joe is staying active underneath Stienz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stienz blocks the strikes from Joe.

Stienz working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Joe's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stienz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joe swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stienz wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving. Stienz slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Joe. Stienz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Joe has managed to free his arm - good work. Stienz blocks the strikes from Joe.
Stienz moves nicely into side control. Stienz just content to control the position. Stienz scoring with punches and elbows. Stienz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joe keeps working. Joe throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Stienz is looking to take a break and control but Joe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Joe misses with an elbow from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stienz slows the pace down. Stienz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Stienz has hold of Joe's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Joe seems comfortable defending it but Stienz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Joe is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Joe is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Stienz couldn't care less - he's delighted!
