Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Aronyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boa Morte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Aronyan as Morte shoots in.
Aronyan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morte's guard.
Aronyan trying to control but Morte is working from the bottom.
Aronyan wants to get up but he can't break Morte's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aronyan drops back looking for a leg! Morte is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Morte manages to kick Aronyan off! Aronyan jumps back into Morte's guard.
Morte is trying to control the position but Aronyan postures up.
Aronyan tries to free his leg and advance position but Morte is retaining full guard.

and Morte counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Aronyan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morte's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morte's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morte is refusing to be controlled, as Aronyan sits in half guard.

Aronyan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Morte is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Aronyan wants to control but instead Morte manages to regain half guard.

Morte might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Aronyan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Aronyan drives through with a takedown into guard.

Aronyan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Morte counters with a shoot takedown. Aronyan fights it but they end up in guard.
Aronyan has his foot on Morte's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morte works his way back into a safe position though.
Boa Morte has got the better of the ground game so far.
Aronyan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morte doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morte manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Morte not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Morte is pushing down on Aronyan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Aronyan is fighting to maintain full guard but Morte has managed to sneak the leg through.

Morte takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Aronyan is staying active underneath Morte, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Aronyan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Morte moves into full mount! Aronyan won't be happy about that!
Morte tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

I think Morte has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
